Support & Acoustic Guide
Answers to common questions and tips for the best listening experience.
Q: Why do I need to wear headphones?
Headphones are required by default for live listening. Disconnecting stops playback; an explicit bypass exists. Silent recording works without headphones.
Q: Is SoundLens a medical hearing aid?
No. SoundLens is a sound enhancement and listening assistant application designed for comfort in noisy places or soft-spoken conversations. It has not undergone clinical certification as a medical prosthetic and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or compensate for medical hearing impairment.
Q: What is the audio latency?
Delay depends on the device and audio route. Bluetooth adds a wireless path. No measured latency figure is available for this build.
Q: How does the Feedback Shield work?
When feedback is detected, the shield clamps gain to 0 dB. It does not replace safe volume settings.
